Connor Update - how good is handball!

Yesterday we went to a community that is built around a rubbish tip. It was hot, humid and frankly,  very impacting.

We went to Kampung Sawah and the church/project there. The guest preacher went for two lifetimes (maybe three). I felt like crying because it just kept going and going and going and going and going and going etc etc. and then the pastor (different) had a talk and then there was a dedication. THEN there was another 3 songs,  which made it about 10 songs in total. There was also the offering, then the pastor said an extensive goodbye. The best part was the children from the orphanages (boys and girls) came and shook our hands. We had lunch with the pastor, then we went to see some classrooms, then we went to see the churches prayer room. We went to a girls orphanage there and that is where the title comes into play. We gave two handballs to the girls there and we taught them how to play with basic rules.  After all that we went to see a very powerful place - the burning rubbish tip. Then we hopped into our hired car and took our translator, Eden, to her home. We then went to the Atlantis water park. We had fun there. After all that I was at the end of my copping energy because it's such a stark contrast. The traffic in Jakarta is insane. I will take a video and put it up on the Blog if I can.

We are going to see Samuel today but we are shopping for groceries for his family before we see him.
